This section describes the typical system connections.

. Be sure to turn off all the equipments before making any connections.
. Do not connect/disconnect the camera cable, interface cable, or pen tablet with the power on. Doing so
may damage the Camera Unit, Communication System or ISDN Unit.
. For safety, do not connect the 100BASE-TX/10BASE-T connector to a network that applies excess
voltage via the 100BASE-TX/10BASE-T connector.
. When the Communication System is being used with a Camera Unit or ISDN Unit for the fi rst time, the
Communication System may begin to automatically upgrade the software of the Camera or the ISDN Unit.
While the upgrading message is displayed on the monitor screen, or the LED on the front of the main
body of the Communication System is turned on, do not turn off the Communication System or unplug
the connecting cable. Otherwise, the system may malfunction.
