SMB/FTP or SAMBA/FTP network filing configuration

In Network Configuration, the SMB/FTP or SAMBA/FTP tab allows
the administrator to enable or disable filing using one of three
different technologies:
1. SMB or SAMBA, the protocol behind WINS.
2. FTP, File Transfer Protocol.
3. SFTP, Secure File Transfer Protocol with encryption.
NOTE: If SMB or SAMBA is selected, the administrator must
enable WINS and specify a NetBIOS name.
Network Filing via SMB/SAMBA or FTP/SFTP
The System Administrator can program the SMB/SAMBA or FTP/
SFTP Server Login information that is required to gain network file
access. If this information was not programmed by the System
Administrator, perform the following:
1. If required, enter your User Name and Password.
2. Type the Domain Name or Select [Browse] to locate the
Domain Name and then select [OK].
3. Type the Server Name or Select [Browse] to locate the Server
Name and then select [OK].
4. If required, type the Share Path or Select [Browse] to locate
the Share Path and then select [OK].
5. After entering all the required information, select [OK] to close
the Save Location dialog window.

The Network Validation dialog opens if it takes longer than
two seconds to validate the network connection
information.

Select [OK] if validation is successful. If validation is not
successful, follow the displayed instructions or contact the
System Administrator.
