I Setting the zigzag width for end backtack stitches (additional DIP switch function)

The condition changes as shown below each time the end backtack key q is pressed.

When DIP switch 2-5 inside the control box is set to OFF,
the zigzag width for end backtack stitches can be set sepa-
rately from the normal zigzag width. (You must set the
start backtack zigzag width at this time too. Be sure to
make this setting if carrying out start backtack sewing
too.)
1. Press the end backtack key q.
• The indicator w will illuminate and the end
backtacking function will turn on.
• The CD indicator e will illuminate and the number
of end backtack stitches will appear in the LED dis-
play r.
2. To change the number of end backtack stitches, use
selection keys t to change the setting value.

3. Press the end backtack key q once more.
• The indicator w and the CD indicator e will re-
main illuminated, and the tack width indicator y
will also illuminate.
• The zigzag width for the end backtack stitches will
appear in the LED display r. (For example,
indicates widths of 1.5 mm for section C and 3.0
mm for section D and that end backtacking will be
carried out.)
4. Use the
widths.
5. When sewing is carried out and then the treadle is
depressed backward, end backtacking will be carried
out. (For the 856A, the thread will then be trimmed.)
