Completion of Single Needle Dialysis
1. Turn the ultrafiltration off, by pressing the UF on/off key.
2. Turn off the arterial blood pump.
3. Set the Single Needle option in the "Test & Options" screen to Off.
4. Remove the SN pump segment from the SN pump.
Warning! Check all bloodlines and dialysate lines for leaks. Keep access sites uncovered
and monitored. Improper bloodline connections or needle dislodgements can result in
excessive blood loss, serious injury, and death. Machine alarms may not occur in every
blood loss situation
5. Clamp and disconnect the patient arterial line. Attach sterile saline to the arterial line.
Switch on the arterial blood pump and return the blood to the patient per unit protocol.
