Troubleshooting
AppleTalk Protocol
Macintosh> Appletalk Connectors> EtherTalk Driver
•
Go to the Control Panel and choose Network to verify if the
Macintosh is connected to the network through Ethernet, and if the
Macintosh EtherTalk driver is selected.
Macintosh> NC-2> NC-2
•
Use the AppleTalk Administration Program in Section 4 to verify if
you selected the correct NC-2 and the correct zone.
Printer Checklist
•
From the Macintosh workstation, use chooser to see if there are
other printers with similar names, and choose the correct NC-2.
•
If background printing is enabled, select Print Monitor to see if
there is an error in printing.
•
If you used the AppleTalk Administration Program, check to see if
you configured the NC-2 printers correctly.
•
The printer name must appear in Chooser. If you did not use the
AppleTalk Administration Program to configure the NC-2, look
for the printer named NC2_<serial number> in Chooser.
•
Use Chooser to confirm that AppleTalk is On.
•
If the network has multiple zones, be sure to choose the correct
zone. See Section 4.
•
If you renamed the printer in the AppleTalk Administration
Program, you must reselect the printer under the new name.
•
If you placed the printer in a new zone, you must select the new
zone in order to select the printer.
Multiple Zones
•
If the network has multiple zones, be sure to choose the correct
zone. See Section 4.
•
If you renamed the printer in the AppleTalk Administration
Program, you must re-select the printer under the new name.
•
If you placed the printer in a new zone, you must select the new
zone in order to select the printer.
