Troubleshooting
Printer Basic Checklist
•
An error on your printer control panel may indicate a break in
communication from the network to the printer. This may be a
result of the network server going down, or from cables that are
loose or disconnected.
•
Check to see if the printer control panel displays printer status, and
be sure the printer is on-line. If the control panel displays an error,
check error conditions and jam conditions in the printer manual.
•
If the printer is plugged into the power outlet and the printer is
turned ON, try using another outlet.
•
If print jobs partially print, use the MAP browser to check parallel
port strobe size setting. If it is set to 1, change it to 5.
•
Make sure that all your connections are securely fastened.
•
Make sure the file server is up and on-line.
Network Connections to the NC-2
•
Make sure you are using the correct network interface port and that
each connection is secure.
•
Try another cable to make sure you do not have a bad cable.
