Problem
The SFS 7012 Ethernet Port(s) have a
RJ45 Cable with a Noise Problem:
This problem would occur if there is a
RJ45 cable that has poor shielding or
contact of pins.
Absence of Ethernet link and/or
intermittent Ethernet connectivity.
Problem
No LED
Bad IB Cable
Fix
Call Tech Support
Ensure fan is seated properly.
If fan continues to be inoperable, call

Fix
Ensure that the cable is a straight-through
Cat 5 cable (not a crossover cable).
If using a straight-through cable and still
experiencing this problem:
Test with a known good cable.
Ensure that the Ethernet cable is Cat 5E or
Cat 6 certified.
Fix
LED may be bad if IB Link (A and B)
LEDs are lit, and the ATTN and/or STAT
is not.
If the QUAL LED is not lit:
Test with a known good IB cable.
