    HOST: The device initiating or receiving the serial communication packets to/from the MC-8. MC-8: The Lexicon product receiving or transmitting the serial communication packets to/from the HOST. Nonvolatile RAM: The area of memory in an MC-8 that stores users adjustable parameters. The Nonvolatile RAM is battery backed, to maintain values during MC-8 power down.
