Scanning File Viruses Manually

This chapter contains instructions for performing operations and
troubleshooting locally on hosts. You might need to do these operations
when you suspect that there is a virus on a local host or if you need to
perform some other administrative tasks locally.
If you suspect that there is a virus on a host or if you want to make sure
that a virus has been successfully removed from a host, you can scan the
computer for viruses manually. To scan files manually, do the following:
1. Select the Virus & Spy Protection page.
2. Click
Scan my computer.
3. From the pop-up menu that appears, select to Scan hard drives for
viruses.
4. The Scan Wizard is displayed. It shows you the progress and
statistics for the scan. Click
5. A report is generated after the scan is completed. Click
to view the report in your Web browser.
When you perform a scan, F-Secure Client Security uses the
manual scanning settings from the current Virus Protection level.
You can see the scanning report also in the scanning report list on
Policy Manager's Reports tab.
