3. Select Report from the Send notifications for new applications
drop-down list, so that the new applications will appear on the
Unknown Applications Reported by Hosts list.

5. When you have existing rules for all the necessary applications, this
set of rules can be distributed as a policy to the entire managed
domain.
Step 2.
Configuring the Application Control Basic Settings
Next you should configure the basic Application Control settings that will
be used when Application Control is running.
1. Select the default action to take when an unknown application tries to
make an outbound connection from the Default action for client
applications drop-down list.
2. Select the default action to take when an unknown application tries to
make an inbound connection Default action for server applications
drop-down list.
3. Set the new applications to be reported to the Administrator by
selecting the Report new unknown applications check box. This way
you can see what kind of applications the end users are trying to
launch, and you can define new rules for them if necessary.
4. Define whether the default messages are displayed to users when an
unknown application tries to make an inbound or an outbound
connection by selecting or deselecting the Show default messages
for unknown applications check box.
Step 3.
Verify the Settings and Take Them into Use
Application Control can be enabled for the whole domain as follows:
1. Select Root in the Policy Domains tab.
2. Select the Firewall Security Levels page on Settings tab, and make
sure that the Enable application control check box is selected.
