4: Installation
With the installation site properly prepared, you are ready to unpack and install the
Evidence Drying Cabinet (EDC). This section covers how to:
• Unpack and move the cabinet.
• Install the cabinet.
• Connect the electrical supply source.
Step 1: Unpacking the EDC
The following tools are required to unpack and install the equipment:
• Box Knife or Scissors
• Two 1/2" Wrenches
• Flat Blade Screwdriver
• #2 Phillips Screwdriver
• 1/8" (3mm) drill bit and drill
Note: The EDC weighs approximately 375 lbs. (170 kg). The shipping pallet allows for
lifting with a mechanical lift truck or floor jack. If you must lift the product manually, use
at least (3) persons and follow safe-lifting guidelines. The cabinet is very heavy, use a
mechanical lift and safe moving practices at all times.
