(2) Connection with Controllers or Drivers from Other Vendors
Use the connectors that can correctly match with ones used for the motorized stage.
Make connections as described in the wiring diagrams (see the descriptions in the
catalog for checking your stage).
The motorized stage has the internal limit sensors to detect the ends of the strokes.
(Sunx Limited's PM-L24/-U24/-F24/-R24 micro photoelectric sensors are used as the
limit sensors).
Before the installation, make sure the stage (motor) will stop by the activation of
the limit sensors. If you use the stage without valid limit sensors, the body of the
stage may be damaged.
Make sure the controller power is turned OFF whenever you are
connecting connectors.
If the power is turned ON during the connection, the stage may be
damaged.
Each model of the motorized stages (SGSP and TSDM and KST series) requires the settings
of motor driving current.

1-3.Connection Cables
The allowable length of a cable connecting a motorized stage and a stage controller
(driver) varies depending on the electrical resistance of the cable, the wire wound
resistance of the stepping motor, driving method (constant-current/constant-voltage),
etc.
If a constant-voltage driver is adopted, a longer cable gives means resistance and leads
to torque reduction.
We recommend that the cable resistance should be 1/10 or lower value of the wire
wound resistance of the stepping motor. If constant-current driving is adopted, it should
be 1/2 or lower. For our stage controllers, the maximum allowable cable length is 5 m.
