.Notes on Use
2-1.Operating Conditions
The stage shall be used under the following conditions:
Temperature:
Humidity:
2-2.Direct Action/ ZF-Axis Stages
An SGSP or TSDM or KST series stage has a knurled knob at the motor shaft, which
allows you to slide the upper table manually.
Note that if you want to move the table manually, make sure the controller power is
turned OFF.
Ball screws and guides are not covered on some direct acting stages. To avoid possible
injury, never touch those uncovered part during operations.
Attaching another product on the upper table can affect the accuracy by the moment
load.
See the catalog for the details.
If you use a motorized X-axis stage as a Z-axis, the moving table may be moved down
when the controller power is turned OFF depending on the sample (load) attached.
See the catalog for the details.
Dustproof cover reels are available for SGSP20/26 and SGMV20/26 series to prevent
dust particles, etc. accumulating on ball screws or guide rails.
See the catalog for the details.
2-3.Rotation/ Gonio Stages
An SGSP or KST series stage has a knurled knob at the motor shaft, which allows you to
rotate the upper table manually.
Note that if you want to move the table manually, make sure the controller power is
turned OFF.
Allowing foreign substances to enter the tapped holes on the upper and side surfaces
may become the cause of failure of the stage.
If you attach another product on the upper table and the fixing surface of the attached
product has higher profile irregularity, it may distort the product and lead to
malfunctioning. This is also true for the fixing surface of the body of the stage. We
recommend the flatness of 0.02/smaller for the profile irregularity.
