3-1．About Check and Maintenance
Constant checks and maintenance are essential to operate the stage without failure.
Please see the Check and Maintenance List and perform daily checks and maintenance.
(1) General Checks
Check Before Operation
Before you operate (move) the motorized stage, or if the stage has been left unused
for a considerable period of time, make sure that there are no abnormality or
foreign substances in the moving parts as well as they are adequately greased to
begin the operation (movement) of the stage.
If There Are Any Abnormalities...
If you find any abnormalities in the motorized stage, stop the operation (movement)
immediately, check the causes of the abnormalities, and fix them before you install
(operate) the stage again.
Check and Maintenance
Perform periodical maintenance according to the maintenance list.
(2) Notes on Check and Maintenance
1. Check motorized stages at least once a month.
2. Carefully check the wear-out in each part. Replace a part without delay if you
find any abnormalities in the part and they can develop further.
3. Oil and grease the sliding parts of a motorized stage constantly to ensure
smooth movement and prevent rust.
4. Periodically check for the proper tightness of the fixing bolts. If loosened,
tighten them.
5. For keeping the stable operation of the motorized stage, clear the stage after
every operation (movement).
