.Installation
1-1.Mounting
【Before Installation】
(1) Please see our latest catalog for outer dimensions or sizes of fixing holes.
(2) Check that your package includes the stage and accessories.
(3) Try an experimental connection of the stage and
the stage controller to see if the stage can be driven by
the controller correctly.
For the details, see the User's manual of the stage controller.
(4) Make sure there is no dust or flaw on the surface where the stage is placed. Place the
stage if the surface is satisfactorily clean. If there is dust on the surface or the surface
is stained, wipe them with a dry clean cloth. If there are any scratches, etc. on the
surface, smooth them with a fine oilstone. If the surface is not flat enough, it will affect
the stage adversely, possibly degrade the accuracy.
(5) Hold the whole stage body if you carry it. Especially when you set an XY type, hold the
body of the lower stage instead of the upper stage.
Do not hold the cover, motor or magnescale to move a stage.
Should be grounded properly in your environment.
【Installation Steps】
(1) For a command from a stage controller or the SGSP
series, turn the knurled screw on the motor shaft to
move the slide table to such a point where you can
see the fixing tapped hole from straight above.
(2) Turn the hexagon socket head cap screws lightly into
the two stage fixing holes with a hexagon wrench
(for the temporary setting).
(3) Turn the knurled screw in the opposite direction to
move the slide table to a position where you can see
the fixing hole on the opposite side.
(4) Tighten the cap screws into the two stage fixing holes
with a hexagon wrench.
(5) Turn the knurled screw in the opposite direction again
to move the slide table, and fix it by tightening the
loosely fastened bolts at the positions.
Do not touch during operations.
