Clearing Z2 Misfeeds
When "Z2" Is Indicated (2)
If "Z2" is still indicated even though
you have gone through the steps in
"When "Z2" Is Indicated (1)", follow
the procedure below to check for mis-
fed paper.

Turn off the power, and then un-
plug the power cable.

Slowly open the front cover of the
machine, and remove the green
screwdriver.
Note
❒ There is a green screwdriver in-
side the front cover for use
when attaching the duplex feed
unit. By setting the top of the
screw into the screwdriver, you
can work without having to
w o r ry a bo u t d ro p p i n g t he
screw.

Carefully pivot the waste oil bot-
tle outward, in the direction of the
arrow.
R CAUTION:
• Keep the waste oil bottle away
from flames. There is a risk of
fire or burns.

With the screwdriver, remove the
screw holding the duplex feed
unit.
You will need this screw when you
reattach the duplex feed unit.

Grip the upper left area of the du-
plex feed unit, and slowly pull it
halfway out.

Hold the duplex feed unit with
both hands, and slide it straight
out.
