When a Message Appears

Toner cartridges are consumable products. When the toner has
almost or completely run out in the middle of operating this
machine, a message appears in the display.

Replacing Toner Cartridges

Before replacing the toner cartridge, see "Precautions
when Replacing Toner Cartridges" (→P.8-8)
If the message indicating the replacement of toner appears,
replace the toner cartridge.

You can check the status of the toner cartridges of each color on the
operation panel.

Have ready a replacement
toner cartridge.
It is recommended that you
replace the toner cartridge
before printing a large amount
of data.
Continuing to use these
cartridges may cause a
malfunction, so replacing

these cartridges with new
cartridges is recommended.
Replace the toner cartridge
with a new one.
When the cyan, magenta,
or yellow toner runs out,
however, you can perform
only black and white printing.

Press the lever to pull out the toner cartridge tray.

Hold the toner cartridge to be replaced by its
handle and pull it straight up and out of the
machine.
Take out the new toner cartridge from the
protective bag.
You can open the protective bag with your hands from the notch.
