11.4.5 Zapi menu "HARDWARE SETTINGS" functions list

To enter this Zapi hidden menu a special procedure is required. Ask this procedure
directly to a Zapi technician.
1) MAXIMUM CURRENT
MAXIMUM CURENT sets the limit for the current in the controller.
2) CAN BUS
ABSENT or PRESENT. This setting specifies whether the eps-ac0 is CAN Bus
connected or not. When CAN BUS is ABSENT, the CAN BUS KO alarm is
inhibited together with any starting sequence used to synchronize via CAN Bus
the eps-ac0 with the other controllers.
3) SET HI RESOL AD
When it is set to Level 1, enables an analog to digital conversion with high
resolution applied to the command pot CPOC1. Level 0 means the high
resolution AD conversion is inhibited. Level 2 is not used. SET HI RESOL AD to
Level 1 reduces the dither when the tiller is close to the straight ahead direction.
It works by increasing the AD resolution for the command (SP POT)
potentiometer and generating a hysteresis around any commanded position
(close to the straight direction).
4) AUTOTEACHING
This option (On/Off) is used to launch the autoteaching procedure (see 10.5).
Take care there is not mechanical angle limitation before to turn it on. Then
recycle the key and the steering motor starts an automatic sequence to collect
the ENC COUNT AT 360 (see 11.4.2.15) and ENC COUNT AT 180 (see
11.4.2.16). If the collected couple is consistent ( ENC COUNT AT 180 stays
inside the window from 3/8 to 6/8 of ENC COUNT AT 360) they are
automatically saved on the settings SET ENC AT 360 and SET ENC AT 180. If
the autoteaching procedure successful ends, the display switches from the
DATA ACQUISITION alarm to the collected values (in the range 0 to 5Vdc. Left
side shows the ENC COUNT AT 360 value; the right side shows the ENC
COUNT AT 180 value). If the couple of values is not consistent they were not
saved and the display switches cyclically from the collected data to the DATA
ACQUISITION inscription.
5) AUX FUNCTION 11
This setting (level 0 to 5) specifies the toggle switches arrangement (one or two
toggle switches and their succession inside a complete steered wheel
revolution).
