Using the RESET button

The RESET button used to reinitialize the system should only be pressed
in the following cases:
• When using the calculator for the first time
• After changing the batteries.
• To clear the memory content.
• If the calculator is completely locked and the keys are no longer functioning.
For example, if you expose your calculator to an electric field or to an
electric charge during use, it may result in abnormal phenomenon
occurring which may neutralize the functioning of some keys including the
[ON] key
WARNING: do not press the RESET button when you think that a
calculation or an internal operation is in progress, this could cause
permanent damage to your calculator.
To press the Reset button, use a fine and sharp object such as the tip of an
open paper clip and press gently. Then press the [ON] button to restart the
calculator. The icon

Replacing the batteries

As soon as the display begins to weaken we advise you to change the
batteries and replace them with two new LR44 batteries. As the batter-
ies were inserted in the factory before expedition, it may, in certain cases,
result in the battery wearing out prematurely.
1. Turn the calculator off using the [SHIFT] [OFF] keys.
2. Remove the screws from the battery compartment found at the back of
the calculator.
3. Replace the batteries while respecting the correct polarity (+ side
above).
