Selecting the notation mode

Your calculator offers you the possibility of expressing the value found in the
previous interval in normal notation, in scientific notation or engineering notation.
• Enter the Fix Mode to switch to the fixed decimal point notation mode (fixed
number of decimal places). The symbol FIX is displayed on the screen.
• Enter the Sci Mode to switch to the scientific notation mode. The symbol
SCI is displayed on the screen.
• Press the [ENG] key to switch to the engineering notation mode.
E.g.:
283100 [=]
result in floating point notation (reminder : the comma is denotes the thousands)
[MODE] [MODE] [MODE] [MODE] 1 4 -> 283,100.0000 FIX mode,
result with 4 decimal places.
[MODE] [MODE] [MODE] [MODE] 2 3 -> 2.83
result in scientific notation with 3 significant numbers.
[ENG]
result in engineering notation with floating point.

To enter a value directly in scientific notation, use the key
