Installing the SM1100 main unit and the wireless remote unit.
1. The transmission range from the remote unit to the main unit is in the region
of 23-30 m (in an open space). These figures may vary with the environment and the
level of interference.
2. The main unit and the remote unit should be located a minimum of 2 metres away
from any source of interference.
3. Do not place the units close to a metal window frame.
4. Any electrical device in the vicinity using a radio frequency of 434 MHz may cause
interference.
5. Extremes of temperature may also reduce the transmission range. If the
temperature falls very low (below -25°C or -13°F) for a long period, transmission
power will be too low because of the alkaline batteries. In these conditions, keep the
remote unit indoors and wait for the temperature to rise again.
