SM1100 WEATHER STATION TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

The temperature being read by one of the sensors flashes on the main unit
Flashing indicates that the connection between the sensor and the main unit has been
interrupted for more than four hours. This can be caused by interference from other radio
signals in the surrounding area. Wherever possible, you should keep the remote sensor
relatively close to the main unit, ensuring that no walls or metal surfaces come between
them. Then hold down the CHANNEL button on the main unit for five seconds. The main
unit will then restore the connection with all the remote sensors.
The temperature or humidity reading is not updated
If you notice that communication between the main unit and the remote unit has been
interrupted, hold down the CHANNEL button on the main unit for five seconds. The main
unit will then spend four minutes searching for signals issued by all the available
remote sensors in order to restore the connection.
If this method does not work, set up the main unit closer to the sensor or alongside it and
hold down the button for a further five seconds.
A beep is heard
One of the alarms has been triggered. The weather station has a daily alarm that can be
sounded, and gives off warning signals to indicate that the maximum or minimum
temperature has been reached.
*Please refer to the instructions for use on how to activate or deactivate these alarms.
A remote unit installed alongside the main unit indicates a different temperature
for the same location
This is a perfectly normal and acceptable phenomenon. The temperature sensors are
accurate to about +/-1.7°C. For this reason, the display from the main unit and from a
remote sensor installed alongside it can vary by 3.4 degrees.
