Stopping for Maintenance

The following procedures should be followed when stopping the unit for
maintenance or service
Step 1)
Per O.S.H.A. regulation 1910.147: The Control of Hazardous
Energy Source (Lockout/Tagout), disconnect and lockout the
main power source. Display a sign in clear view at the main
power switch stating that the unit is being serviced.
Never assume equipment is safe to work on just because it is not
operating. It could restart at any time.
Step 2)
Relieve system of all pressure prior to performing maintenance
or service on the unit.
Step 3)
Lock open a pressure relief valve within the pressurized sys-
tem to allow the system to be completely de-pressurized.
NEVER remove a plug to relieve the pressure!
Step 4)
Shut off the water cooling supply (water-cooled versions).
Step 5)
Open all manual drain valves within the area to be serviced.
Step 6)
Wait for the unit to cool before starting to service. (Tempera-
tures of 125°F can burn skin.
To assure maximum performance and service life of your dryer, a routine
maintenance schedule should be developed.

intervals listed below are only to be used as general guidelines. Time
frames may need to be shortened in harsher environments
Every 8 Hours (or Daily Maintenance)
• Check function of the sensor controlled condensate drain. Press the
"Test" button, check to see if water is drained.
• Monitor dew point temperature. The indication on the dew point ther-
mometer must be within the green range.
Every 40 Hours (or Weekly Maintenance)
• Inspect and clean the air cooled condenser.
• Inspect and clean the condensate drain.
Warranty does not cover dryer failure due to dirty condensate or
plugged condensate drain.
