Error Message
HEAD IS NOT CON- The Sensor Head is not connected
NECTED correctly.
NEIGHBOR UNIT IS The Amplifier Units are not coupled
NOT CONNECT correctly.
SYSTEM ERROR Failed to configure FPGA.
Failed to initialize LCD.
Failed to recognize Amplifier Unit.
Failed to load data from flash memory.
Faulty hardware operation
Faulty software operation
TEACHING FAILED The workpiece is not projected cor-
rectly.
The teaching area is not set at the
appropriate position.
COLOR EXTRAC- Teaching cannot be performed since
TION FAILED no color pickup setting has been
made.
DIFFERENT PASS The lock function cannot be cancelled
NUMBER because of an incorrect pass number.
SYSTDATA ERROR Data saved to the instrument has
been damaged.
BANKDATA ERROR The current bank data has been dam-
aged.
HEAD ERROR Failed to communicate with the sensor
head.
In the following instances, error messages are not displayed, but the ERROR and ERR
lmap turn ON.
Cause
TRIG was input while ENABLE was OFF.
Failed to teach from external device.

Cause
Make sure that the Sensor Head is
connected correctly.
Make sure that the Amplifier Units are
connected correctly.
Faulty Amplifier Unit Contact your
OMRON representative.
Set the area so that the workpiece is
projected in the field-of-view.
Make sure that the appropriate teach-
ing area is set.
Make color pickup setting (color), then
perform teaching again.
Input the registered pass number.
The currently set system data is
cleared. Set the system data again.
The currently set bank data is cleared.
Set the bank data again.
Make sure that the sensor head is
connected correctly.
High-voltage lines and power lines
must be wired separately from this
product.
Countermeasure
Wait until ENABLE is turned ON and then input TRIG.
Set the area so that the workpiece is projected in the field-
of-view.
Make sure that the appropriate teaching area is set.
Make sure that TRIG timing is appropriate in the workpiece
move teaching mode.
