8: Adjusting thespeaker
levelsand balance
(TEST TONE)
You can adjust the speaker levels and balance
while listening to the test tone from your
listening position.
Tip
Tile receiver employs a test tone with a frequency
centered at 800 Hz.

Tile test tone is output from each speaker
in sequence as follows:
Front left _ Center _ Front right
Surround right _ Surround back right*
Surround back left* _ Surround left

: You will only hear test tone from the
surround back left and right speakers when
the surround back speakers are set to
"DUAL" (page 43).

Adjust the speaker levels and
balance using the LEVEL menu
so that the level of the test tone
sounds the same from each
speaker.

(LEVEL menu)" (page 44).
Tips
• To adjust the level of :Ill speakers at the same
time, press MASTER VOL +_. You can also
use MASTER VOLUME on the receiver.
• The adjusted value are shown on the display
during ac[iustment.
Repeat steps 1 to 5 to select
"T. TONE N".
The test tone turns oft'.
Note
The test tone does not work when MULTICH IN or
ANALOG DIRECT is selected.
