VarioTrack
Charger V: the charger operates in voltage regulation (absorption, equalization or floating). In this
status, it is normal to see a current lower than the maximum possible
Charge I: the VarioTrack has reached the maximum allowed current fixed by the parameter {10002}
"battery charge current". In this status, the power of the generator is limited to a lower value then
the maximum possible.
Charge T: the maximum permissible temperature of the VarioTrack is reached and the power is
limited by the temperature. This status is not a problem but may highlight that the system
performances could be enhanced by reducing ambient temperature or, if the model is a VT-65, by
adding the external cooling fan unit ECF-01 (see chap. 9.4 - p. 44).
Ch. Ibsp: The maximum battery current is corresponding to a setpoint sent by the BSP (Battery Status
Processor).
Security: the equipment turns off due to a fault normally indicated by a message on the RCC or by
the "error" indicator (3) on the equipment.
OFF: the equipment is manually turned off by the operator or using a remote control.
8.2.3 Displaying security errors (Info n°11034)
When a security error occurs, the device will stop functioning. A short text, limited to 8 characters, will
appear on the display indicating which kind of error it is.
Text
Description
No Error
No error. The unit is fully functional
Earth
A ground fault is detected depending on to the configuration chap.
4.6.1(Message 81)
OverTemp
An abnormal high temperature is detected (Message 014).
BatOverV
The battery voltage is over 68V (Message 020).
PvOverV
There is a PV voltage over 75V in a 12V system or over 145V in others. (Message
82).
No Batt
No Battery or battery below 7V or reversed battery polarity. (Message 80)
HardErr
Incompatibility between the power PCBs and the command PCBs.

8.2.4 Displaying the values of a multi-unit system

When several VarioTrack units are
connected to the remote control

connected equipment. The displayed
values can be selected as per the
same procedure described in chap. 8.2.1.1. Moreover, the units can be viewed one by one by using
the arrows up/down after the SET button (2x) when the cursor in reverse video is pointing to the field
"MULTI".

8.2.5 Displaying messages and event history

The message system is the same as for an Xtender inverter and the alarm messages/information are
stored and displayed in the "Event history" window. See user manual for the RCC.

Message list
Warning (000): Battery low: the battery voltage is lower than the battery undervoltage level set by
parameter {10334}. The VarioTrack continues to operate up to a battery voltage of 7V.
Message (012): Use of battery temperature sensor: this indication is given only if the sensor is
connected to the VarioTrack when it is energized.
Halted (014): Over temperature EL: the warmest point inside the equipment has exceeded 85°C. The
equipment stops operating. It starts again when the temperature drops back to a normal value.
Warning (016): Fan error detected: this indication is given only if the equipment is operating when the
