Standard connections needed for analyzer commissioning are as follows:
• Customer cable – used for power supply and analog/digital IO. Customer cable is an
electrical cable with 12 x 0.5 mm
different lengths.
consists of a fiber optic cable for communication between receiver and the emitter unit as
well as an electrical cable for powering and synchronization with the receiver unit.
Standard length is available in different lengths.
• Ethernet cable – used for accessing the internal web server from a remote computer using
a web browser. Standard length is ten meter.
NOTICE
Do not connect SITRANS TDL to a LAN network
The Ethernet connection is only intended for a direct peer-to-peer connection with a
computer and only for temporary use during commissioning or maintenance. SITRANS TDL
shall not be connected to a LAN network.
Additional connections for analog or digital signals, as well as Modbus RTU or Add-on module
functionality are available depending on the customer requirement.

NOTICE
Industrial communication protocol networks should be secured
Communication via the industrial communication protocols is unprotected. SITRANS TDL
shall not be connected to public networks. Access control to the networks must be ensured
by the network operator by additional means.
