4.9 Increased memory usage during OS operation

Increased memory usage due to IME operation
In Windows® 10 2019 LTSC and Windows Server® 2019, when a window with a text input
form is repeatedly opened and closed, the memory usage (Private Bytes) of the process
increases due to IME operations.
Therefore, for systems that perform the above operations, please perform one of the following.
・Regular restart of this device or the relevant process
・Applying updates after July 2023 update (KB5028168)
Please note that this event does not occur on Windows® 10 2021 LTSC and Windows Server®
2022, so no action is required.
Increased memory usage when SystemSettings.exe is prefetched
When "Settings" (SystemSettings.exe) is prefetched and you repeatedly open and close any
window, the memory usage of the entire system (Paged Pool Bytes) will increase.
This phenomenon is a specification of Windows®, and when the memory usage increases to
the maximum value, the prefetched SystemSettings.exe terminates, releasing the increased
memory.
If you want to avoid this issue, please exclude SystemSettings.exe from the background apps so
that it is not prefetched. To change the settings, please change the settings using the following
method.
1. Display "Settings" and click on Privacy .
2. Click on Background apps on the left side of the screen.
3. Turn off Settings in the list.
Please note that this is already turned off in Windows® 10 2021 LTSC and Windows Server®
2022, so no action is required.
4. PRECAUTIONS WHILE THE OS IS RUNNING
