SWEEP DRIVE GEAR:
OVERLOAD AND FREQUENCY
MARKING:
A screwdriver operated selector which selects a 1 0: 1 gear box to re-
duce the frequency scanning speed when driven by an external me-
chanical drive. This enables the drive shaft cable to rotate at a faster
relative speed to reduce the effect of mechanical sticking and ensure a
smooth response.
A 7 pin socket for connection to the Type 2307 Level Recorder. The
Event Marker Pen of the Recorder registers either an overload condi-
tion or a change in a digit on the Nixie Frequency Display as selected
by the screwdriver-operated switch to the right of the socket. The pin
connections of the socket are shown in Fig.2.8. Accepts plug JP
0703.

Two screwdriver-operated potentiometers which can be used to limit
the frequency range of the Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) output
which governs the BFO frequency range. Mechanical movement of the
scale pointer is not restricted, but the oscillator output and the Nixie
display are switched off. The output from the FREQUENCY CONTROL
VOLTAGE "Out" Socket is unaffected.
Control signals for external equipment. The 1 ,2 MHz frequency signal
is used by the Tracking Frequency Multiplier Type 1901. The sockets
accepts plug JP 0101.
Voltage selector for operation of the 2010 from a 100, 115, 127,
150, 220, 240V (50 to 400Hz) AC mains supply. To select the cor-
rect voltage setting or change the fuse, see section 3.1.2.
Input socket accepting the power cable AN 0010 provided for connec-
tion of an AC mains supply. Before connecting the instrument to a sup-
ply carry out the mains voltage setting and fuse checks given in sec-
tion 3.1.2
.
