13. Select the required PAPER SPEED on the Level Recorder in "mm/s" or "cm/s". Do
not select "1 0 cm/s" since this will introduce instabilities. See also section 4.3 or
4.4.

POTENTIOMETER RANGE
RECTIFIER RESPONSE

WRITING SPEED
The two instruments will now be synchronised. It is important to remember that the
scanning rate of the 201O's pointer must be kept low enough to fall within the range of
the selected PAPER SPEED on the Level Recorder. The selected PAPER SPEED on the Le-
vel Recorder determines the maximum rate at which the chart can be moved.
The 2307 will remain within the same chart even if the 201 0 FREQUENCY DIAL pointer
is rotated more than once. To move the paper on to a new chart, use the PAPER DRIVE
"Stop" button on 2307
.
4.1 .4. Linear Scanning with 2307
When linear scanning is required, then the OVERLOAD AND FREQUENCY MARKING fa-
cility provided by the 2010 will be found very useful. The socket for this is on the rear
panel of the 201 0 and it should be connected to the Level Recorder's REMOTE CON-
TROL socket using cable AQ 0035 (see Fig.4.3) for the 2307. The regularity of marking
