INSTALLATION

8.1.

Safety instructions

DANGER!
Risk of explosion in explosive atmosphere!
▶ Should the device be used in potentially explosive areas, chap-
ter „3" and the additional instructions for Ex-approved compo-
nents must be adhered to.
WARNING!
Risk of injury from high pressure in the system!
▶ Before dismounting the lines and valves, turn off the pres-
sure and vent the lines.
Risk of injury from electric shock!
▶ Before reaching into the device or the system, switch off the
power supply and secure to prevent reactivation!
▶ Observe applicable accident prevention and safety regulati-
ons for electrical equipment!
Risk of injury from improper installation!
▶ Installation may be carried out by authorized technicians
only and with appropriate tools!
Risk of injury from unintentional activation of the system
and an uncontrolled restart!
▶ Secure system from unintentional activation.
▶ Following installation, ensure a controlled restart.

8.2.

Installation position for Type 2380-LA

The device can be installed in any installation position.
Consider the recommended flow direction (see „Fig. 4")!
Leakage detection bores
One of the two bores for leakage detection (see „Fig. 4")
should be at the lowest point. The other bore should be
closed to protect the device from outside liquid entry.
The orientation of the actuator (and
controller) on the valve body can be
varied in steps of 90°. For that purpose
disassemble/assemble the actuator as
described in chapter „8.4.2".
