7 Software description
7.1 Data security
•
VISULAS green can export data directly to a USB drive, for
example treatment parameters as PDF documents or log files.
•
VISULAS green in combination with the "Laser Treatment
Workplace" option can send data to a server via the DICOM
protocol. VISULAS green uses a proprietary transmission protocol
to send data from a serial interface via a serial-to-network adapter
to the server.
•
The hard disk partition of the VISULAS green, on which system
data is stored, is write-protected. This prevents unauthorized
software (e.g. malware) from being installed on the system.
•
VISULAS green does not have a network port.
•
Therefore, it is not possible to save patient data to the
VISULAS green.
