Replacing the shutter

To replace the shutter, proceed as follows:
 disconnect the purging pipe 1) from the air box 2);
 disconnect the gas train 3) and the pipe to the pilot train 4);
 dismantle the burner from the boiler using the relative lifting
eyebolts 5) (see "Lifting eyebolts" on page 17);
 remove the cover of the air box 6);
 disconnect the tie-rod inside the shutter 7);
 remove the flame funnel 8);
 remove the four M4 screws 9) from the slide bars 10);
 remove the head and the pilot as described in the paragraph
8.4, page 27;
 remove the shutter 11);
 dismantle the pins with bearing 12) mounted on the shutter
by loosening the nuts 13). If they are in a good condition put
them on the new shutter, otherwise replace them (see spare
parts list for the code);
 refit everything carrying out the operations in the reverse
order to the one described above;
 make sure the shutter is sliding properly after suitably greas-
ing the bearings and the spherical articulated couplings of
the shutter's drive tie-rod;
 connect the sliding tie-rod of the shutter to the internal lever;
 close the cover of the air pipe.
 refit the head and the
pilot.

Dismantling the UV photocell

To dismantle the UV photocell 1) (Fig. 32) after disconnecting it
electrically, remove it from its support.
8.8

Closing the burner

Refit following the steps described but in reverse order; refit all
burner components as they were originally assembled.
