Presence

With the Presence feature, you can monitor the call status of other users connected to the same
network. Few customers refer to the feature as Busy Lamp Field (BLF).
Depending on the configurations made by your administrator, you can use Presence lines to
perform the following tasks:
• Monitor the status of other user's phone.
• Answer calls for the monitored users.
• Speed Dial a monitored user.
• Barge-in on an active call.
The administrator configures the action of the Presence line key. Depending on this configuration,
when you press a Presence line key, the phone does one of the following:
• Performs the action of the left-most soft key of the phone screen.
• Highlights the corresponding line.
• Does not take any action if the corresponding line is already highlighted.
If the line is already highlighted, use the Ok button on the phone to perform the action of the
left-most soft key.
