Owner's Manual for Power Zone Pro Sync
Description
A generator failed an attempt to
sync to another
generator or to utility.
The generator is seeing negative
power that exceeds the user-
defined negative power limit.
The MCB on the generator is
open when it should not be. The
MCB can be manually closed if
the generator is not running.
The voltage phase rotation of the
generator does not match the
phase rotation of the bus.
This fault indicates that the oil
pressure is too high for a stopped
engine when cranking is
requested. When this fault is
active, the starter is inhibited to
prevent the attempted
engagement of a starter into a
rotating engine.
The generator was unable to start
in the number of user specified
attempts.
Set Alarm
The generator failed to
sync to live bus voltage
within 120 seconds.
The user-defined negative
power limit is being
exceeded for more than ten
seconds.
The Main Controller senses
the MCB is open when it
should not be.
The transfer switch does
not close after a user-
specified number of
attempts, and the generator
is running with the transfer
switch open.
The generator is ready to
sync with the bus voltage,
but did not have the same
phase rotation (ABC vs.
CBA) as the bus for 20
consecutive checks.
Oil pressure exceeded 32
psi when the engine is
expected to be stopped
and is being requested to
start via a start command.
The user-specified number
of start attempts was
exceeded.
Troubleshooting
Clear Alarm
Turn keyswitch to OFF.
Clear the alarm using
the Display. Verify the
main controller reads
generator and bus
voltage correctly. Verify
speed and voltage
control are stable.
Turn keyswitch to OFF.
Clear the alarm using
the Display. Verify the
main controller reads kW
and frequency correctly.
Turn keyswitch to OFF.
Verify the switch is open
and the MCB is closed (if
different than switch).
Verify the main controller
indicates switch and
MCB positions correctly.
Clear the alarm using
the Display.
Turn keyswitch to OFF.
Clear the alarm using
the Display. Verify
generator phase rotation
matches bus phase
rotation with phase
rotation meter. Verify
sense wire fuses are
good. Verify the main
controller generator and
bus voltage sense wires
are correctly installed.
Verify load cables are
correctly installed.
Alarm resets when oil
pressure drops below 30
psi.
Turn keyswitch to OFF.
Verify proper fuel,
throttle is opening,
ignition is firing, starter is
engaging, and RPM is
reading. Clear the alarm
using the Display.
