Step 1.
Make preparations for this task.
a.
Remove the top cover (see

Remove both PCIe riser cages or fillers, the chassis air baffle, and the PCIe expansion tray (see

Disconnect all the cables (including external ones) from the adapter.
Step 2.
Open the retaining latch.
Step 3.
Remove the screw that secures the adapter.
Step 4.
Grasp the adapter by upper corners, and remove it from the system board.
