WATER SUPPLY VALVES (WV) (Y2 – Y5)
The double solenoid valves are operated electrically by
the control system and carry no current when closed. They
handle different functions: filling the container, emptying
the container, steam condensation in the cooking
compartment, cooling the drain. The valves are located on
the water supply at the back of the appliance. If a valve
springs a leak and loses water continuously, the faulty
valve must be identified and replaced.
Removal
Remove the cover in accordance with §5. Take the
electrical cables off the double valve. Release the clips
WATER INLET CONE (KW)
For filling the water container, the end of the water inlet pipe (ZW) is fitted with a
cone, the purpose of which is to prevent the water entering from splashing into the
cooking compartment below. The correct position of the cone is achieved when the
lower end of the pipe coincides with the start of the cone. The cone is attached to
the pipe by a screw (SK).
If the cone is attached too high up on the pipe, water will splash into the cooking
compartment when the water container is filled.
NOZZLE HEAD (DU)
A nozzle head (DU) is screwed into the end of the water supply pipe (DK) for steam
condensation in the cooking compartment. This nozzle head has 4 small holes. Cold
water is sprayed through these holes onto the walls of the cooking compartment to
condense the steam at the end of a cooking process. The nozzle head must be
fitted in such a way that the holes point in the direction of the side surfaces of the
cooking compartment.
The small holes are frequently susceptible to heavy scaling, which reduces the
supply of water and thus steam condensation. The holes should be checked and
cleaned periodically.
DRAIN SIEVE (AF)
A drain sieve is screwed into the center of the lowest point in the cooking
compartment (DB). This prevents larger pieces of food from being washed into the
valves located beneath. The sieve must be cleaned by the user periodically to
prevent any build-up of water in the appliance. The sieve must be screwed in to a
depth at which the lowest holes match the level of the cooking compartment.
Service Manual Pressure Steamer
and pull the water hoses off the valves. Unscrew the union
nut with which the valve body is attached to the water
supply.
Installation
During installation: the position of the coils must be
downward. The brown nozzles (reduction in water volume)
must be pressed with their tips in front into the two drain
spigots of the valves as far as the stop. Fit an undamaged
seal on the inflow side. Refit the electrical connections and
water hoses correctly.
