ROTARY KNOB

Rotary knobs are fitted at the selection switch for cooking
temperature and pressure as well as at the switch for
setting the cooking time.
Removal
Prise the cap of the operating knob off with a knife. Take
away the nut in the center of the knob. Pull the knob off its
spindle.
Installation
Turn the spindle counter-clockwise as far as the stop. Put
the knob on and turn the arrow to the scale graduation on
the far left. Tighten the nut in the center of the knob and

WATER LEVEL CONTROL ELECTRODES (NE)
(B1/B2)
Faults in the water control system in the water container
may be due to malfunctioning electrodes. The electrodes
must be descaled periodically and checked for corrosion
damage. The two level electrodes are identical, but are
installed to different depths. The electrodes are located at
the very front at the top of the cooking compartment.
Removal
Remove the cover in accordance with §5. Unscrew the
electrical connection. Take off the union nut. Pull the
electrode upwards and out.
Installation
Clean the pipe holder well. Further procedure as
described under "Removal" but in the reverse order.
CAPILLARY TUBE THERMOSTAT (TW) (B4)
The thermostat regulates the maximum water temperature
(80°C) in the water container while the appliance is
heating up. It is located above the cooking compartment in
the front part. The sensor is pushed into a tube that dips
into the water container.
If the water container temperature indicates a larger
deviation (more than 80 ± 10°C) after preheating, the
thermostat must be replaced.
Removal
Remove the cover in accordance with §5. Twist the
thermostat to a position that will allow the attachment
screws on the two plastic tabs to be removed with a
screwdriver. When the tabs are removed, the thermostat
switch is free. Take out the split pin that is installed at 90°
to the capillary tube sensor jacket pipe and fixes a rod-
shaped holder for the sensor. Pull out the holder and
sensor upwards. The jacket pipe is attached with a union
nut and a seal to a spigot of the cooking compartment.
Installation
If the jacket tube is being removed, make sure during
installation that the seal is in perfect condition. The sensor
is inserted dry into the tube as far as the bottom.
