Li-ion battery safety precautions

In case a battery is damaged, or you suspect it to be damaged because the unit is damaged,
warped or crushed:
• Do not touch the unit with bare hands, protect eyes and skin.
• Take the unit to a safe and open area and put it on a non-combustible surface.
• Observe the unit from a safe distance, report the incident.

Attention!
It is recommended to use a heat sink for the REC Unit and expose it to at light air
flow.
Attention!
While operating the Simcenter SCADAS RS system, do not disconnect the daisy
chain cable from the UPS Unit, since ALL other units are powered by the UPS Unit.
Disconnecting the daisy chain cable will shut down all other units and data will be
lost.
Attention!
It is recommended to switch off the power before connecting or disconnecting
sensors.
Attention!
After using the Simcenter SCADAS RS system, shut off the power first, then
disconnect the cables. Put a cap on the connector after disconnecting each cable
before cleaning the units.
Alternatively, the units can be cleaned while the cables are still connected and
unused connectors covered with a cap.

Warning!
Misused or defective, Li-Ion batteries can build up heat very quickly, catch fire or
explode. Make sure that you are aware of potential risks related to Li-Ion batteries.
If the UPS Unit is damaged, warped or crushed, stop using it immediately.
