Strapping units

In case the Simcenter SCADAS RS system is to be strapped down to a vehicle or other object, it can be
equipped with Mounting Clamps and high-strength straps. To prevent damage to the test object and/or
the RS system, the units must be strapped securely.

How to strap units

1.
Stack or mount the units back to back as described in the previous sections (see
Back to back
mounting).
2.
Attach Mounting Clamps on ALL four corners of the stacked units with four M4x12 bolts. Apply a
spring washer or a serrated washer followed by a flat washer to the bolts.
3.
Strap the combination of units tightly on all four corners to the test object with 35 mm wide straps
to prevent shifting and/or rattling.

Caution!
Check the straps before use. Discard any damaged or worn strap. Replace it with
a new one to prevent breakage and causing damage to the Simcenter SCADAS RS
system and the test object.
Loose objects also present a safety hazard to personnel and may cause damage
to the Simcenter SCADAS RS system and the test object. Make sure that no loose
objects are present in the test environment.
