Cold Junction Compensation
For the functional operation of the thermocouple there's the cold junction point at the copper
connection of each TC20 channel. Technically this is also an internal thermocouple and it is internally
measured with highly accurate built-in temperature sensors, which enables the TC20 Unit to correct or
compensate for this bias voltage per channel.
Cold junctions are shown within the blue oval below
Internal temperature sources are controlled by design in the TC20.
Maximum power consumption in most demanding operating conditions 7 W.

Attention!
It is important for accuracy that the cold junction point is not influenced by
external sources such as an airflow over the front of the TC20 Unit.
