USB serial interface chip

CY8C5868LTI-LP039 PSoC™ 5LP chip for onboard programming and USB-Serial functionality. It connects to the
PC over a USB interface and to the CYW20829 device through the HCI UART and I2C pins.

Kit power supply

Power the kit with one of the two power sources: USB or coin-cell battery.
Figure 10
shows the USB power is connected to two buck regulators, one regulating the voltage to 1.8 V and the
other to 3.3 V. A coin-cell battery can be directly connected without the need for a regulator. See

Test points

There are two ground test points for easy connection of probes. The voltage from various power domains can
be measured from their respective TPs.

Current measurement

CYW920829B0M2P4XXI100-EVK has one power domain:
VBAT to power the module
To measure the current consumed by the module domain, connect an ammeter across pin 3, and one of pins 1
or 4 or 5 (depending on the power source) of jumper J9.
Note: VBAT, VDDIO and, VDDPA power rails are shorted in the module.
