Using HL Leakage mode
In HL test mode and walking around
subscriber premises, the ONX measures
signals off the air looking specifically for the
HL Transmitter's two leakage signals.
Each signal has a special identification
modulation called a "Tag." When either of
these two signals are measured, the signal
level and Tag are displayed.
If the signal's Tag is detected and its
measured level exceeds the configured
squelch level, then the ONX emits an audible
tone and the "Tag" box changes to yellow.
For example, squelch was set to 5µV/m, so
the signal level must exceed 5µV/m and the
Tag must be detected (Yes) to turn the box
yellow and to emits an audible (mute on).
As one approaches the leak, a higher signal
level will be measured. The audio sound, the
bar graph and history chart are updated to
show these level variations.
Audio sound volume can be adjusted using
the volume bar at the bottom of the screen,
or the Mute button can be enabled to fully
mute the audible tone when desired.
