2.1.1.8 Assembly

The IP20 AS-Interface Slaves are snapped onto DIN 35 carrier rails. Please
ensure that the space for the connection of the female connectors is big
enough. The IP20 AS-Interface Slaves must only be used in enclosures,
cabinets or electrical service rooms. Only authorized qualified personnel are
allowed to access via key or tool.
Depending on the type of slave, 3- or 4-pole WAGO female connectors of
Series 734 (CAGE CLAMP
AUX, sensors or actuators are included in the delivery. The female connectors
are appropriate for the connection of solid, stranded and fine-stranded
conductors from 0.08 ... 1.5 mm² (AWG 28 ... 14) with a stripped length of
7 mm.
Observe the derating curves in the technical data when rating the sensor
supply and output currents.
The derating curves are based on the vertical mounting position of the
modules on a DIN rail.
Example: A total sensor supply current of 100 mA is permitted at an
environmental temperature of 55 °C with a total output current of 6 A.

2.1.1.9 Start-up and diagnosis

Attention
Operating an AS-Interface network with components that do not comply with
the AS-Interface specification may lead to malfunctions or restrictions.
Please note the AS interface master manual and the manual for the start-up
tool WAGO-I/O-CHECK 2 (759-302) for start-up and diagnosis of the AS
interface slaves with AS interface master 750-655 from the WAGO-I/O-
SYSTEM 750.
For start-up and diagnosis of AS interface slaves with an AS interface master
or an AS interface programming device of another manufacturer, please note
the corresponding operating manuals.
