SPEED CONTROL ASSEMBLY (Figure 11)
1. WARNING: DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY CORD.
2. Remove the mixer top cover (Figure 12 [4]) per section 2, mechanics maintenance "REMOVAL OF
TOP COVER" instructions on page 2.4.
3. Remove the rear access panel (Figure 12 [5]).
4. Remove the elastic o-ring from the cam assembly pin.
5. Loosen the screw on the collar (Figure 11 [11]) and remove the collar and connecting rod assembly.
6. Loosen the set screws [12] in the cam assembly [7].
7. Drive the roll pin [17] from the speed control lever [1] and pull the speed control lever assembly
from the cam assembly shaft. Remove the washer [2] from the cam assembly shaft.
8. Remove the two 5/16-18 Kep nuts [5] and washers [4] from the studs holding the speed control
bearing [3] to the mixer housing. Remove the speed control assembly from the mixer housing.
9. Pull the cam assembly from the speed control bearing.
10. Remove the two 1/4-20 screws [14], lock washers [15], strap [16] and spring [13] from the speed
control bearing [3].
11. Remove the two 10-32 cap screws and remove the detent disk [8].
