3.4 Tools required

The following tools are required to install your transducer.
1.
Power drill
2. 2 x 14 mm (9/16") wrenches or small adjustable wrenches.
3. Pozi-drive screw driver
4. Drill bit (suitable for pilot holes)
Note: The size of the drill bit required should be suitable for the fixings
screws and the material and thickness of the mounting surface. Please
refer to the parts supplied list for the fixing screws provided.
5. Marine-grade neutral cure polyurethane sealant (non-acetate and
non-silicone based)
6. 25 mm (1 inch) Hole saw (only required if you are routing the cable
through the transom and / or a bulkhead.)

Masking or Adhesive tape (Used to fix the mounting template to the
mounting surface)

3.5 Location requirements

The guidelines below should be followed when selecting a location for the
transducer.
Note:
The information below is provided for guidance only. Optimum transducer
location will be different for each vessel, and it is recommended that the
transducer is tested in different mounting locations, to ensure optimum
performance.
• To obtain the best location for your transducer, observe the transom whilst
underway and install in the area where the least amount of turbulence
and aeration occurs.
• The transducer is NOT suitable for mounting on vessels where the transom
is aft of the propeller(s).
• The transducer should be mounted as close to the centerline as possible.
However, if the centerline is pointed, the transducer should be offset
from the centerline.
