Inserting a cassette
1 Set the POWER switch to ON.
2 Insert the cassette with its label side up.
The cassette is automatically pulled into the operating position.
Ejecting a cassette
1 Make sure that the POWER switch is set to ON.
2 Press the EJECT button.
When re-recording on a previously recorded tape, previous recording is
automatically erased. To avoid unintentional erasure of recorded signals, break off
the safety tab on the cassette. With the tab removed, recording is inhibited.

Preventing accidental erasure
To cancel recording inhibition
Cover the slot left by the safety tab with plastic tape. Placing two layers of tape
makes it more secure.
