Remove the heat sink:
1. Peel the tape (1) off the side of the heat sink. You can leave the tape connected to the computer.
2. In the order indicated on the heat sink, remove the Phillips 2.0 × 3.5 screws (2) - (5).
3. Remove the heat sink (6).
4. Thoroughly clean the thermal paste from the surfaces of the heat sink and the system board
components each time the heat sink is removed. Replacement thermal material is included with the
heat sink and system board spare part kits.
White thermal grease (1) and gray thermal grease (2) is used on the heat sink.
To install the heat sink, reverse this procedure.
