9.5 Options

9.5.1 IP55/IP65 sealing arrangement
for B003 - B680 brakes
Removing the covering tape
Unscrew the bolts retaining the terminal box
cover.
Fitting the covering tape
Replace the covering tape, if necessary, use
a suitable tool, e.g. a screwdriver.
The following options are possible:
• Sealing arrangement (covering tape) for IP55/IP65 for B003 – B680 brakes
• Reduced noise level
– Option for B007 - B020 brakes
– Standard for B050 - B680 brakes
• Manual brake release
Manual brake release is only available for B007 - B680 brakes, not for B003
brakes.
• Microswitch
A microswitch arrangement is only available for B007 - B680 brakes, not for
B003 brakes.
• Emergency-stop brake lining
Only for inverter operation

• Remove the terminal box cover.
• Disconnect the brake power supply cable.
• Pull the brake power supply cable out of
the terminal box.

• Insert the brake power supply cable into
the terminal box.
• Connect the brake power supply cable.
• Fit the terminal box cover.
• Ensure correct fit of the seal.

Remove the covering tape, if necessary, use
a suitable tool, e.g. a screwdriver.

Close the terminal box cover by tightening the
4 bolts. Tighten to torques according to the
"Bolt tightening torques" table in section 9.4.5.
