Adjusting the pedelec

CAUTION
!
Crash caused by incorrectly adjusted torques
If a screw is fastened too tightly, it may break. If a
screw is not fastened enough, it may loosen. This
will cause a crash with injuries.
 Always observe the indicated torques on the
screw or in the operating instructions.
Only a correctly adjusted pedelec will guarantee
the desired ride comfort and health-promoting
activity. Therefore, adjust the saddle, the
handlebars and the suspension to your body and
your preferred riding style before the first ride.

Adjusting the saddle

6.5.1.1 Adjusting the saddle tilt

The saddle tilt must be adjusted to the seat height,
the saddle and handlebar position, and the saddle
shape to ensure an optimum fit. The seating
position can be optimised in this way if needed.
First adjust the handlebars, then the saddle.

6.5.1.2 Determining the seat height

To adjust the seat height safely, either
push the bike near to a wall, so that the rider can
lean on the wall to support themselves or
ask another person to hold the pedelec.
1 Climb onto the bicycle.
2 Place your heel on the pedal and extend your
leg, so that the pedal is at the lowest crank
rotation point.
 The rider sits straight on the saddle if the seat
is at an optimum height. If this is not the case,
adjust the length of the seat post to your
needs.
